Job summary

Northwell Health, a prominent health system, is hiring an RN for Danbury Hospital's Delivery Room. The role involves providing professional care to a group of patients, using the nursing process in collaboration with the health care team.

Requirements include CT RN license, BLS, 6 months L&D RN experience, ACLS/NRP/EFM certifications or ability to obtain within the stated timelines. Evening/Night shifts and a 36‑hour schedule are provided.

Qualifications

• CT RN license required.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 6 months of L&D (RN) experience required.
• ACLS, NRP certifications required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• EFM certifications required or must be obtained within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs assessments focusing on physiologic, psychological & cognitive status.
• Formulates a goal directed plan of care based on nursing diagnosis & patient outcomes.
• Implements care in a skilled, consistent and continuous manner.
• Establishes priorities of patient care based on essential needs and resources.
• Evaluates effectiveness of care and patient progression toward outcomes.
• Identifies learning needs and implements appropriate measures.
• Coordinates interdisciplinary functions.
• Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
