Job summary

Stamford Health is seeking a PER DIEM NIGHTS Registered Nurse for the Labor and Delivery Unit. The role runs 7pm–8am with at least 5–6 shifts every 6 weeks, including weekend hours and major holidays. The position emphasizes patient‑centered care within a Planetree framework and offers mentorship to non‑RN staff.

Candidates should be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with CT RN licensure and BLS certification. BSN preferred, with 1–2 years of experience in a similar setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience; 2 years highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient care using the Nursing Process.
• Provide supervision of non-RN personnel on assigned unit.
• Act as preceptor to new staff and students as requested.
• Maintain compliance with Stamford Health policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with the health care team and patients' families.
