Job summary

Danbury Hospital in Danbury, CT, is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Delivery Room. The role requires CT RN licensure and certifications (BLS, ACLS, NRP) or plans to obtain them within specified timelines. Experience in L&D is preferred, with shifts 7:00pm-7:30am and 24-hour control hours.

Responsibilities include nursing assessments, planning, implementing, coordinating care with the team, and ensuring compliance. Benefits include PTO, health coverage, and retirement plans.

• Establish priorities of patient care based on essential needs and resources.
• Evaluate patient progress toward outcomes and adjust care as needed.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and post-discharge needs.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary functions and ensure compliance responsibilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Summary:

Provides professional care and assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame. Provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process in collaboration with other health care team members.

Required:

State of CT RN license.BLS certification required.Minimum 6 months of L&D (RN) experience required. ACLS, NRP certifications required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire. EFM certifications required or must be obtained within 12 months of hire.

Hours: 24.00 control hours

Work Shift:

7:00pm-7:30am with holiday and weekend requirements

• 1. Performs assessments in an ongoing and systematic manner, focusing on physiologic, psychological & cognitive status.
• 2. Formulates a goal directed plan of care which is prioritized and based on determined nursing diagnosis & patient outcomes.
