Job summary

Front Porch in Chula Vista is hiring a Part Time Medication Technician. Under the direction of the Charge Nurse/Director of Health Services, you will perform routine resident care and med pass in accordance with policies and standards.

This role offers hourly pay of $20.00 - $22.00, weekend availability, and benefits as described. Training provided; strong emphasis on safety, documentation, and communication with residents and providers.

Qualifications

• Total 24 hours training within the first four weeks.
• Read, write, speak and understand English.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Able to read and follow policies and respond in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality customer service efficiently to residents, families, co-workers and vendors.
• Communicates with health care providers, supervisor, families, and residents about health conditions and medication needs.
• Ensures medications match the prescriber’s instructions.
• Manages medications and assists residents to self-administer medications.
• Follows infection control techniques in patient care.
• Documents all communication with prescribers, families, and residents.
• Attends mandatory in-service meetings.
