Job summary

Germanna Community College is seeking a part-time Evening Support Technician to assist at the Stafford County Center and Fredericksburg Area Campus. The role provides network and system support for IT equipment, including computers, AV and mobile devices, to boost productivity across the college.

Flexibility to work evenings/weekends and at different campus locations is required. Responsibilities include handling tickets, installing and maintaining workstations, and training staff on computer

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or Helpdesk support.
• CompTIA A+ Certification or equivalent PC hardware/repair experience.
• Knowledge of software licensing, installation and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Respond to faculty and staff tickets for computer and AV issues in a timely, courteous manner.
• Install and support computer workstations and peripherals; perform maintenance and patches and ensure security compliance.
• Prioritize and close helpdesk tickets for AV, computer, and network incidents.
