• Post-secondary education in medical office administration or healthcare administration preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in healthcare front desk or patient registration preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills required.

Responsabilités

• Greet patients and families professionally to create a positive impression.
• Register patients for emergency services and collect required information.
• Verify patient identity and insurance details; update records as needed.
• Explain and obtain signatures for consent forms; document consent when patient cannot sign.
• Verify insurance coverage and eligibility; collect co-pays/deductibles when applicable.
• Assist patients with insurance questions and requirements.
• Document carefully when patient signs or a family member signs on the patient’s behalf.
• Identify proper insurance plan codes to ensure accurate payment.
• Prepare paperwork for quick retrieval and processing of visits.
• Place patient armband for identification throughout the stay.
• Notify departments or physicians of patient arrivals and follow up as needed.
• Maintain communication during emergency codes and alerts; follow facility plans.
