Job summary

A Child's Heart Learning Center & Nursery in Boise, Idaho is seeking a part-time custodian to provide a safe, attractive, and clean environment for children and staff. Shifts run Monday–Friday from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with a supportive team and flexible hours.

Responsibilities include cleaning, lifting up to 50 pounds, following written and verbal instructions, and maintaining custodial equipment. Compensation is $18.00 per hour, with competitive benefits and a family-friendly culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous custodial and grounds experience required
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Comfortable squatting, twisting, bending, and kneeling while using tools and performing maintenance tasks
• Possess working knowledge of the methods, techniques, and materials used in custodial work
• Ability to climb ladders and work from heights
• Familiar with operating, caring for, and storing custodial equipment and supplies

Responsibilities:

An employee must meet the physical demands described here to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly to walk, sit, stand, and reach with hands and arms, stoop or kneel, and crouch.

Additional physical requirements may include the following:

• Physically capable of lifting or moving heavy objects.
• Sufficiently mobile to ensure the safety of students.
• Ability move and stand for extended periods.
• Manual dexterity to move items around as needed.
• Ability to understand written instructions and checklists

WORKING AT OUR CENTER:

We see ourselves as teachers, educators, and leaders and believe we have one of the most important jobs in the world! Serving and disciplining the future generation! We provide care for children ages 6 weeks up to 12 years old, Monday through Friday, from 6:30 AM- 6:00 PM. We are one of the highest-rated childcare providers on Google in Boise! Our teachers base their monthly lesson plans on a preschool curriculum called ABC Jesus Loves Me, which is designed for ages 2-5. Teachers are encouraged to plan field trips whenever possible to support learning, request supplies needed for classroom and curriculum purposes, and participate in the annual Christmas Program! Schedules can be flexible, and we offer both full-time and part-time positions. Each new hire is taken through a training process to familiarize them with working at our center and welcome them to the team. But we don't stop there! We provide ongoing daily support to all of our teachers, and we are there for you to collaborate, brainstorm, and set goals to take you to the next level of your career!
