Job summary

A community services organization is seeking a Part-Time English Instructor to help immigrants enhance their language skills. The role requires developing lesson plans, managing classroom activities, and facilitating the educational growth of students from diverse backgrounds. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Education and at least one year of experience, with bilingual skills preferred. Qualifications

• Minimum one year of applicable/equivalent experience.
• Master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) preferred.
• Bilingual in either French, Haitian Creole, Spanish, Arabic, or Russian preferred.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop instructional materials and lesson plans.
• Teach students at their respective levels sequentially.
• Manage the classroom effectively to maximize student learning.
• Prepare and distribute instructional materials for homework use.
• Maintain daily student attendance records.

Good written and verbal communication skills

Proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel

Literacy in other Microsoft Office Suite products
