The International Rescue Committee (IRC) Richmond is seeking a part-time ESOL Instructor to provide integrated English language instruction for non-native speakers. You will tailor curricula, support recruitment and retention, and use virtual and in-person methods to reach adult learners at the IRC Richmond office.

You will collaborate with the Adult Education Specialist, manage volunteers, and assess student progress through regular data entry and attendance tracking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; certificate in Adult Education, TEFL, TESL, or TESOL preferred.
• Experience teaching ESOL or adult education to immigrant/refugee students preferred.
• Strong classroom management and ability to tailor curricula to mixed levels.

Responsabilités

• Deliver integrated ESOL instruction and tailor curricula for mixed English levels.
• Integrate job skills, digital literacy, civics, and life skills into lessons.
• Oversee volunteers and coordinate classroom activities and breakout groups.
• Track attendance, progress, and data; support recruitment and retention.
