Job summary

State of South Carolina is seeking a temporary, part-time Admissions Assistant to provide exceptional customer service, answer and direct incoming calls, respond to admissions inquiries, and schedule advising appointments. Familiarity with the Banner system is preferred, and confidentiality of student records must be maintained.

Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma and prior customer service or call center experience.

Responsibilities include providing exceptional customer service, answering and directing incoming calls, responding to admissions inquiries, scheduling advising appointments, utilizing the Banner system to access and manage student information, referring complex inquiries to appropriate Admissions/Enrollment staff, and maintaining strict confidentiality of student records and information.

High School Diploma. Customer service and/or Call Center experience.

Preferred candidates will possess general knowledge of college admissions and enrollment processes, strong written communication and customer service skills, and the ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality. Familiarity with the Banner system is preferred. Candidates must not be employed in a college work-study position during the term of service.

These are temporary, part-time positions.
