Job summary

Lanier Technical College is seeking an adjunct English instructor to teach at multiple campus locations. This part-time, non-benefits eligible, exempt position includes a background and reference check as part of the process.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in English or master’s with 18 graduate semester hours in English from a regionally accredited college/university.
• Must work well with diverse students in varying settings.
• Background and reference check required.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional instruction based on approved course syllabus and meeting outcomes.
• Prepares curriculum and syllabus for coursework.
• Evaluates students’ progress toward goals.
• Administers and grades exams and maintains grade records.
• Attends in-service training, workshops and seminars as needed.
• Ensures safety in training areas and meets deadlines.
• Meets with students and staff as needed.
