Lanier Technical College is conducting a search for a part-time Adjunct History Instructor. This non-benefits eligible, FLSA-exempt position is available at multiple campus locations. A background and references check are part of the process.

The candidate will provide instruction per approved syllabi, prepare curricula, evaluate student progress, and maintain grades and records, with adherence to deadlines and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in History or Master’s with 18 graduate hours in History.
• Ability to work well in the classroom and in supervising diverse students.
• Unofficial transcript(s) required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional instruction based on approved course syllabus and meets stated objectives.
• Prepares curriculum and syllabus for coursework taught.
• Evaluates students’ progress in attaining goals and objectives.
• Administers and grades class examinations.
• Maintains records of student grades.
• Attends in-service training, workshops and seminars as needed.
• Ensures safety and security requirements are met in the training areas.
• Meets all deadlines assigned by Supervisor.
• Meets with students and staff as needed.
