Job summary

Lanier Technical College is seeking an adjunct Humanities instructor for multiple campus locations. This part-time, non-benefits eligible, FLSA-exempt position requires delivering instruction according to approved syllabi and assessing student progress.

The successful candidate will prepare curricula, grade exams, maintain records, and collaborate with the Associate Dean of General Education. A Master's in Humanities or related field is required, with preference for online teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Humanities or related field, with 18 grad hours if applicable.
• Ability to supervise diverse students in varying settings.
• Experience teaching in postsecondary environment preferred.
• Experience teaching online instruction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional instruction based on approved course syllabus and meets stated objectives.
• Prepares curriculum and syllabus for coursework taught.
• Evaluates students’ progress and assigns grades.
• Administers and grades class examinations and maintains records.
• Attends in-service training, workshops and seminars as needed.
• Ensures safety and security requirements are met in training areas.
• Meets deadlines and collaborates with supervisor as required.
• Engages with students and staff as needed.
