Job summary

Lanier Technical College is seeking an Adjunct Economics Instructor to teach at multiple campus locations on a part-time basis. The role is non-benefits eligible and exempt from overtime, with compensation paid as a lump sum based on contact hours.

The candidate must hold a Master’s degree in Economics (or equivalent) and be capable of delivering instruction, preparing curricula, and evaluating student progress. Background checks are required, and transcripts must be uploaded during application.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Economics or master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in Economics and appropriate semester hours in specific course content from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Experience teaching in a postsecondary environment; Experience teaching via online instruction; Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional instruction based on approved course syllabus.
• Prepares curriculum and syllabus for coursework taught.
• Evaluates students’ progress in attaining goals and objectives.
• Administers and grades class examinations.
• Maintains records of student grades.
• Attends in-service training, workshops and seminars, as needed.
• Ensures safety and security requirements are met in the training areas.
• Meets ALL required deadlines assigned by Supervisor.
• Meets with students, staff members, supervisors as needed.
