Job summary

Resource Innovations is seeking a Residential Outreach Specialist to promote enrollment in the Energy Savings Assistance Program in the San Diego area. This field-based role involves door-to-door outreach, meeting with customers, and determining eligibility for energy-saving measures.

You will collect enrollment documents, provide energy education, and install basic measures such as LED bulbs and low-flow fixtures. A valid California driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.
• Experience in sales, customer service, or outreach is preferred.
• Ability to convey program requirements clearly to diverse customers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct outreach to eligible households through door-to-door canvassing and referrals.
• Explain Energy Savings Assistance Program benefits to customers.
• Determine household income and property eligibility.
• Complete enrollment paperwork and collect required documentation.
• Install basic energy- and water-saving measures where applicable.
• Maintain accurate customer records using program forms and data systems.
