Job summary

Lanier Technical College in Hall County is seeking a part-time EMT/Paramedic Lab Assistant to support faculty in labs and classrooms, assist with equipment, inventory, and student supervision. Requires State-approved Advanced EMT or higher, National Registry, and BLS; up to 29 hours/week, $20–$30 per hour, per academic term, with a background check.

Day shifts available. Temporary, per-academic-term, non-benefits eligible; Tuesday and/or Thursday availability preferred; experienced instructors

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of State approved Advanced EMT or higher course(s).
• Obtained National Registry certification.
• BLS certification.
• Ability to obtain BLS Instructor certification within the first 6 months of hire.
• Ability to work on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays while classes are in session.

Responsibilities

• Assist faculty members with classroom and lab instruction, exams, record keeping, adherence to safety procedures, evaluating lab skills of students and other miscellaneous tasks related to instruction
• Tutor or mentor students
• Accompany instructor/students to clinical setting and evaluate student performance, as needed
• Clean labs as needed
• Obtain materials needed for classes, including texts and other materials
• Maintain qualifications for employment as described by TCSG and accreditation standards
• Follows ALL deadlines as established by Lanier Technical College
• Follows rules and regulations as mandated by TCSG policy manual and Lanier Technical College
• Assist with special projects or initiatives as needed
