Job summary

Lanier Technical College is seeking a part-time Cosmetology Lab Assistant for Hall and Dawson campuses. The position is non-benefits eligible and non-exempt, offered on an academic term basis, with an hourly rate of $18.00 and up to 29 hours per week.

Reporting to the Cosmetology Program Chair and instructor, the role involves assisting in instruction, tutoring students in the lab, preparing materials, and maintaining laboratory equipment and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Preferred: Cosmetology license from GA and 2 years salon experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist faculty with classroom instruction, exams, records, attendance and safety procedures.
• Tutor or mentor students, and assist in the lab.
• Perform laboratory research.
• Clean labs as needed.
• Obtain materials for classes, including texts and supplies.
