Job summary

Midland College seeks an instructor to serve as an EMT and/or Paramedic lab instructor and assist the classroom instructors in coordinating and facilitating EMS labs for students.

The role requires at least one year of EMS experience, with TDHS EMT or Paramedic certification (or the ability to obtain). Strong English communication and leadership are essential for student success and safety in lab settings.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year experience in EMS.
• Current TDHS EMT or Paramedic certification (or able to obtain).
• Proficient in the English language; excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom instructors in coordinating EMS labs.
• Prepare lab spaces and maintain equipment and safety.
• Demonstrate proper use of lab equipment and materials.
• Provide leadership and positive role modeling for students.
• Evaluate student performance and assist with formative/summative assessments.
• Work with remote site clinical facilities and field internship sites.
