Job summary

Gold Cross EMS, Inc. is hiring a Part-time EMT in Augusta, GA.

Under general supervision, you will perform duties of your licensed level, operate an emergency vehicle, and provide medical treatment and stabilization to patients in accordance with state EMS policies, GCEMS protocols, and professional codes of conduct. This role requires a valid Georgia EMS license and driver’s license, current BLS certification, and may prefer one year of EMT experience.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must have a current driver's license.
• Must provide a current Motor Vehicle Report and meet the current driver standards.
• Must have current State of Georgia EMT-R, EMT, EMT-Intermediate, or Advanced EMT certification (or SC equivalent) with National Registry.
• Must have current Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification.
• One year experience as EMT provider preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical treatment and stabilization per state EMS policies and GCEMS protocols.
• Operate emergency vehicle safely and follow EMS guidelines.
• Maintain knowledge of GCEMS protocols and hospital locations.
• Inventory and manage drugs, IV fluids, supplies, and equipment.
• Coordinate with Field Supervisor on scene and report status as required.
• Shifts may rotate driver/tech duties while higher-level care is provided.
• Drive with due regard during emergencies.
