Job summary

Black Hawk College is seeking a part-time adjunct EMT/Paramedic Instructor to contribute to our health sciences programs in Illinois and neighboring Iowa.

The instructor will deliver classroom lectures and labs, assess competencies, and supervise clinical rotations while developing engaging syllabi and assessments that align with program outcomes. A licensed paramedic is required, with teaching experience preferred and a commitment to student success.

Qualifications

• Paramedic license or eligibility for licensure in Illinois and Iowa.
• Two years of teaching experience in a health-related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach classroom lectures and lab activities for EMT/Paramedic courses.
• Assess clinical and skills competencies of students.
• Supervise clinical rotations in affiliated facilities.
• Develop syllabi and prepare lectures and activities.
• Evaluate student performance and provide feedback.
