Job summary

Waubonsee Community College invites applications for Part-time Adjunct Faculty in Paramedic EMT courses for the 2026 cohort. Courses include didactic and lab experiences embedded in class times. Instructors deliver curriculum, provide instruction, and assess student learning using classroom tech.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and an active Illinois Paramedic license in good standing; a drug test and immunization records are required by hospital regulations.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Candidate must have an active Illinois Paramedic license in good standing.
• Candidate must submit to and pass a drug test per hospital regulations.
• Candidate must provide immunization records (e.g. Covid; Flu) per hospital regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and monitor teaching/learning effectiveness in courses assigned by the division Dean.
• Model professionalism with excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and engage large groups with complicated material.
• Instruct in lecture, skills, or clinicals per IDPH guidelines at Northwestern Medicine/Delnor Hospital in Geneva, IL.
• Schedule and manage students' clinical rotations as needed.
• Prepare syllabi and deliver courses following the course outline and learning-centered principles.
• Submit attendance, grades and data for assessment of student learning by deadlines.
• Collaborate with colleagues to serve student and community needs.
• Manage course paperwork such as attendance and grade postings.
