Job summary

Integrated Resource Institute seeks an Employment Coach to mentor and support individuals with developmental disabilities at job sites in Central Orange County. The role focuses on job development, travel assistance, and creating meaningful daily schedules with the circle of support.

Sundays in Irvine, with mileage reimbursement and potential incentives for job placements. The candidate will help with resume building, interview practice, and building employability skills, ensuring integrated

Qualifications

Two years of college or equivalent experience preferred but not required.
Job development and on-the-job support experience preferred but not required.
Experience supporting people with disabilities preferably in community integrated settings (plus any additional experience).
Strong organization, communication and writing skills. Must be proficient in the use of computers and online platforms as some services are provided remotely.
Positive behavior support training experience preferred.

Commitment to self-advocacy and person-centered planning.
Flexible availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as necessary.

Responsibilities

Understands and practices IRI’s mission and embraces person-centered values.
Demonstrates respectful and dignified interaction and communication with IRI persons served, stakeholders and IRI colleagues.
Assumes competence and builds esteem in all interactions with IRI people served.
Implement a normalized community integrated employment focused service.
Develop integrated work schedules.
Find integrated work settings and develop competitive employment placement.
Provide encouragement for meaningful employment related activities to the person served.
Conduct task analysis and demonstrate data-based training decisions.
All other duties as assigned by the Support Manager, Director of Services, and CEO.
