Job summary

The Family Resource Network in Newark, NJ is hiring an Employment Coordinator for part-time, daytime hours. You will develop person-centered employment plans and provide training in resume creation, interview skills, and job search strategies for individuals with disabilities and diverse needs.

Responsibilities include coordinating with referral agencies, supporting clients during job searches, and ensuring proper accommodations and supports after placement.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred/optional depending on role.
• Professional communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain rapport with referring agency personnel to build high referral numbers.
• Develop a person-centered Employment Plan based on referrals, observations, and assessments.
• Provide employment-related training: resume development, interview skills, job search, networking, and on-the-job relationship protocols.
• Assist job seekers in search, applications, interviews, and assistive technology needs.
• Provide on/off-site assistance after placement to ensure tasks and accommodations are in place and supported by natural supports.
• Document work, billing reports, and complete fee-for-service processes.
• Refer job seekers for additional assistance (SSI, SSDI, Medicare, Medicaid, etc.).
• Complete reports, database entries, case notes in a timely manner.
• Engage in new referrals and meet 15 hours per week target.
