Job summary

Community Options, Inc. is seeking a part-time Employment Specialist to cover Gloucester and Camden Counties in New Jersey. You will coach individuals with developmental disabilities toward competitive employment and help them build essential job skills, including resume creation and interview techniques.

The role emphasizes hands-on support at job sites, with emphasis on documentation and collaboration with licensing and department staff to ensure compliance. Starting pay is $20.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Two years’ full-time work experience in supporting people with disabilities.
• Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
• Background checks including criminal history, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Provide the necessary assistance for people with disabilities to be placed in competitive employment.
• Coach the person with disabilities to develop independent job skills.
• Work side-by-side with persons with disabilities at job sites.
• Reinforce essential skills, or teach new skills such as developing a resume, conducting a successful job interview, and completing a job application.
• Accurately complete all documentation.
• Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned
• Employee must cooperate with the license and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigation
