Job summary

Family Resource Network in Newark, NJ, is seeking a Part-Time Job Coach to support individuals with disabilities in Essex County. You will help design employment plans, coach resume and interview skills, and assist with job search, applications, and workplace accommodations.

The role requires a bachelor's degree, 2+ years in funding agency environments, strong communication, and the ability to travel. Bilingual Spanish is a plus; in-person and remote client support may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 2+ years of experience with funding agencies (DDD, DVRS, or CBVI preferred).
• Professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
• MS Office, internet search, and data entry experience.
• Ability to travel and work with clients in-person and remotely.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain positive rapport with referring agency personnel to build high referral numbers.
• Develop a person-centered Employment Plan based on referrals and assessments.
• Provide employment-related training in resume development, interview skills, and job search options.
• Assist in job search, applications, interviewing, and assistive technology assessment.
• Provide on-site or off-site follow-up to ensure job tasks are performed and accommodations are in place.
• Document work and complete billing reports for fee-for-service.
• Refer job seekers for additional assistance to maintain benefits and supports.
• Work up to 15 hours per week and notify supervisor of issues or successes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
