Job summary

DeKalb County Government is seeking a Policy Analyst (Management Analyst II) to coordinate special projects, perform research and provide analytical support within the Policy Division of the Human Resources & Merit Department.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Public/Business Administration or related field and at least three years of relevant experience. Strong communication, analytical and project-management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Public/Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience.
• Three years of experience in the area of assignment or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate special projects and conduct research and analysis of departmental functions.
• Perform operational research, productivity analyses and management studies to aid decision making.
• Conduct financial reviews and analyses; monitor expenditures and grants.
• Coordinate department projects with internal teams or contractors; define scope and implement solutions.
• Assist in strategic and long-range planning; monitor legislation impacting operations.
• Administer grants and ensure compliance; respond to complaints and coordinate with leaders.
• Represent the director and department at meetings; liaise with civic/government entities and committees.
