Emergency Veterinary Services of Lisle is a well-equipped small animal emergency hospital located in Lisle, IL. We seek an experienced Veterinary Technician who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys teamwork, and is eager to continue learning.

Credentialed and non-credentialed technicians are encouraged to apply; emergency experience is not required. This role offers weekend availability, with occasional Friday evening flex shifts and 12-hour weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of veterinary technician experience.
• CVT or credentialed technician preferred but not required.
• Strong technical and communication skills.
• Compassion for patients and clients.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced emergency setting.
• Dependable with strong teamwork skills.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and treat hospitalized patients.
• Perform in-house laboratory testing.
• Assist veterinarians with surgical procedures.
• Monitor anesthesia during procedures.
• Place IV catheters and draw blood.
• Take and position radiographs.
• Restrain patients safely for exams.
• Provide client communication and education.
• Communicate with referring veterinarians as needed.
• Assist with occasional reception duties.
• Maintain hospital cleanliness and organization.
• Support the team with additional duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do
