Job summary

VEG is seeking a part-time Emergency Veterinarian to provide high-quality care for a wide range of emergencies, including exotic cases. You’ll work in a mentorship-focused environment with VEG Education programs and ongoing continuing education opportunities.

You’ll handle emergency cases, contribute to client communication, and support the hospital team with a positive, patient-centric approach.

Qualifications

• This job requires a DVM or equivalent and a passion for emergency medicine.
• Experience in emergency medicine including surgery and endoscopy is preferred.
• Ability to stand for long hours and lift up to 25 kg; willingness to work nights/weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Answer medical questions and assess patients promptly.
• Perform emergency exams, surgeries, and endoscopy as needed.
• Communicate diagnoses and treatment options to clients.
• Prepare estimates and maintain accurate medical records.
• Educate clients on aftercare and preventive measures.
