Job summary

VEG is seeking a Part-time Emergency Veterinarian to deliver urgent care across our open-concept hospitals. You will manage emergencies, perform surgeries and endoscopy, and mentor teammates through VEG Education programs and continuous CE opportunities.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree required.
• Experience in emergency medicine and surgery preferred.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities

• Answer medical questions over the phone.
• See patients on arrival and triage.
• Conduct physical examinations and diagnostics (ultrasound, X-ray, bloodwork).
• Create diagnostic and therapeutic plans for each patient.
• Explain diagnoses and treatment options to clients.
• Assist with emergency surgeries and endoscopy.
• Educate clients on aftercare and preventive measures.
