Job summary

VEG ER for Pets is seeking a part‑time Emergency Veterinarian to provide top‑tier care for both common and exotic emergencies. You will work within a mentorship‑driven culture that supports ongoing learning and advancement in emergency medicine.

VEG emphasizes open collaboration, continuous education through VEG Education programs and unlimited ER CE with travel stipends. You will play a key role on the hospital floor, managing emergencies from triage to advanced surgeries in a dynamic team

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree.
• Willing to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Stand for prolonged periods and lift up to 25 kg, with assistance as needed.

Responsibilities

• Answer medical questions over the phone.
• See patients immediately as part of the VEG Triage and VEG Spikes system.
• Gather signalment, presenting complaint, vitals and exam.
• Perform exams, imaging, bloodwork, and biopsies as needed.
• Create diagnostic and treatment plans and discuss with clients.
