Job summary

VEG for Pets is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to deliver urgent care for dogs, cats, and exotics in a fast-paced ER. You will collaborate with a supportive team, handle a broad spectrum of emergencies, and participate in VEG Education programs to advance skills.

The role includes mentorship and opportunities to grow within a nationwide network of hospitals. Experience in emergency surgery and endoscopy is valued; flexible scheduling and a focus on client communication are essential

Qualifications

• Must have a DVM degree and veterinary license to practice in the US.
• Strong background in Emergency medicine including surgery and endoscopy.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team setting.

Responsibilities

• Take patient histories, perform exams, and develop treatment plans.
• Perform emergency procedures and surgeries as needed.
• Provide endoscopy and diagnostic workups when indicated.
• Communicate diagnoses and options clearly to pet owners.
• Maintain accurate medical records and prepare cost estimates.
