Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) is hiring a part-time Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line emergency team. You will triage, treat, monitor, and support pets and their families in high-stress situations while collaborating with veterinarians and specialists.

You’ll perform critical nursing tasks, assist with anesthesia and diagnostics, and leverage your credentials to deliver gold-standard care.

Qualifications

• 1+ years as a veterinary technician; emergency or specialty experience preferred
• Credentialed veterinary technician (CVT/RVT/LVT) in the practice state
• Ability to stand for long hours, lift up to 25 kg, and work nights/weekends as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, treatments, and emotional support from triage to discharge
• Assist with diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing
• Manage IVs, CRIs, blood products, and other therapies as part of patient care
• Communicate effectively with team to maintain smooth workflow and high-quality care
• Perform procedures such as diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, and tube placement
• Support doctors and staff in fast-paced emergency environment
