Job summary

Study Smart Tutors in Lanham, MD seeks a Part-Time Elementary Math & Reading Tutor to support 2nd to 4th graders. In-person sessions occur Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 2:05 PM to 4:05 PM PST, with opportunities to work with small and larger groups and access to class materials.

You will collaborate with our Education team, adapt to new materials, and communicate with staff to provide effective learning strategies. A completed 4-year degree and tutoring experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• MUST hold a completed 4-year degree.
• Teaching or tutoring experience is strongly desired.
• In-person availability is required.
• Scheduled hours: Tuesdays & Wednesdays, 2:05 PM to 4:05 PM PST.
• Complete and pass a background check, which may include fingerprinting based on location.

Responsibilities

• Provide tutoring support to small and large groups of students.
• Tutors will have access to information about class assignments.
• Adapt to new materials and teaching strategies.
• Maintain consistent communication with Study Smart Tutors staff.
