Black Futures Lab is seeking Election Impact Organizers in Rocky Mount, NC for a part-time, non-exempt hourly role. Responsibilities include canvassing, data entry into MiniVAN, and reporting daily outcomes to support the 2026 General Election.

The position requires strong communication, reliability, and willingness to train. Mileage reimbursement is available, and a personal smartphone with MiniVAN is needed.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills across diverse communities.
• Reliable, punctual and prepared at staging locations and events.
• Comfort with a smartphone, web browser, and MiniVAN to record responses and post updates.
• Ability to read maps and follow assigned routes.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing team needs and trainings.
• Willingness to attend mandatory orientation and trainings.

Responsibilities

• Reach voters daily with election-related messaging through door-to-door canvassing, phone and text banking, social media, and events.
• Enter voter data accurately into MiniVAN.
• Complete accurate daily reports.
• Follow the provided script and share accurate information with residents.
• Meet the required number of voter contacts per shift.
• Stay informed about political issues relevant to the campaign.
