Montgomery County Public Schools is seeking a Part-Time English Language Development Teacher (ELD) at Westbrook ES, 0.5 FTE. The role focuses on planning and delivering ELD instruction to Kindergarten to 2nd-grade students identified for ELD services, with a 20-hour workweek schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Holds Maryland teacher certification in ESOL/ELD.
• Fluency in another language is preferred.
• Plans for and provides English language development instruction under the direction of the principal.

Responsabilités

• Collaborates with administrators, counselors, teachers and other school staff about EML students and their needs.
• Serves as a resource for information regarding EML, cultural and linguistic differences, English language development, and the ELD instructional program.
• Explains the ELD instructional program to parents.
• Assists students in adjusting to the academic and cultural environment.
