Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress in Cypress, TX seeks an EKG Technician (Part-Time) to perform standard EKG, EEG, Holter monitoring, stress testing and non-invasive vascular procedures, while maintaining patient records and providing direct patient care.

You will interpret rhythms and arrhythmias, report changes to nursing staff, maintain telemetry supplies, document patient condition, and mentor new staff in a safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Successful completion of EKG course preferred
• 1 year hospital experience preferred
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Interprets Rhythms and Arrhythmias.
• Reports all changes in heart rate/rhythm to nursing staff.
• Maintains Telemetry supplies and equipment.
• Records patient condition using computerized documentation systems.
• Performs duties with age-appropriate factors.
• Orients and mentors new staff members.
• Follows Standard Precautions with PPE
