Job summary

Health First is seeking a part-time Clinical Support role to perform EKGs, monitor patient testing, and coordinate administrative tasks. The candidate will handle patient privacy, explain procedures, and assist with equipment checks. Training is available for certified nurse aides or monitor technicians.

The role emphasizes accurate charge logs, a supportive team environment, and adherence to safety protocols. Prior healthcare exposure is a plus; AHA BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• CNA or Monitor Technician would be considered for in-house training.
• Prefer solid science background with emphasis on human anatomy and physiology.
• Must hold current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Completion Card prior to start date and maintain.
• Previous experience preferred.
• Excellent, positive people skills.
• Self directed capability.
• Preferred Cardiology Technician Certification during or at one year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Keep work area and shift work related to cleaning, stocking, and equipment checks up to date: ECG, SAE, Holter Monitors, and treadmill equipment.
• Provide quality EKGs in a timely manner.
• Stats will be done within 20 minutes of notification.
• Able to obtain and provide quality signal average EKGs with copy to physician for interpretation on shift requested.
• Provide patient privacy during testing and ensure handwashing techniques.
• Explain procedures to patients.
• Daily log entry for patient charges.
• Report any equipment malfunctions to supervisor or manager.
