Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Registration Specialist for the Emergency Department in Bethlehem. This part-time day-shift role coordinates patient registration, interviews customers by phone and in person, verifies insurance, and schedules visits to ensure accurate accounts and timely financial clearance.

You will scan documents, collect demographics, define financial responsibility, and communicate with patients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year customer service or 1 year healthcare environment experience.
• Computer and typing proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients by phone and in person to collect demographics and insurance details.
• Engages patients to create a welcoming experience during registration.
• Ensures orders are complete and match the scheduled appointment.
• Scans insurance cards, patient IDs and other documents accurately.
• Secures signatures for timely reimbursement and service-specific consents.
• Determines and communicates patient financial responsibility and available resources.
• Reviews daily schedule and addresses conflicts with staff/providers to maintain flow.
• Maintains compliance with registration accuracy and regulatory requirements.
