Job summary

FedEx Logistics in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Material Handler to ensure the safe and efficient operation of equipment used to move packages, documents, heavyweight freight, and ULDs. You will assist in the buildup and breakdown of pallets containing heavyweight freight, and coordinate with ULD repair vendors as needed.

This role requires physical stamina with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs from ground to chest level and to maneuver heavy items using appropriate equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs from ground to chest level.
• Ability to maneuver packages above 50 lbs with equipment or assistance.
• Must be able to walk, stand, bend, and squat for designated hours.
• Ability to communicate in a noisy environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate equipment used for moving packages, documents, heavyweight freight, and ULDs.
• Assist in buildup/breakdown of pallets containing heavyweight freight.
• Serve as liaison between FedEx and ULD repair vendor as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
