Job summary

FedEx in California is seeking a Material Handler to safely operate equipment moving packages, documents, and heavyweight freight, including handling dangerous goods and ULDs.

You will assist in pallet buildup/breakdown, work in a noisy environment, and communicate effectively while following safety protocols. A valid driver's license and ability to perform physically demanding tasks are required; full-time hours may include early shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be physically able to lift 50 lbs from ground to chest level.
• Able to walk and stand for designated work hours.
• Able to bend and squat for designated work hours.
• Able to maneuver packages above shoulder level and in enclosed spaces.

Responsibilities

• Operates equipment for moving packages, documents, heavyweight freight and dangerous goods.
• Assists in buildup/breakdown of pallets containing heavyweight freight.
• Serves as liaison between FedEx and ULD repair vendor when required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
