Job summary

FedEx in West Palm Beach is seeking a part-time warehouse operative to operate equipment safely for moving packages, documents, heavyweight freight, and hazardous items. You will assist in pallet buildup and breakdown, and liaise with the ULD repair vendor as needed.

Standing, lifting, and maneuvering heavy loads are required, with training provided. A valid driver's license and ability to pass a drug screen are required for this role.

Qualifications

• Able to lift 50 lbs from ground to chest level and maneuver heavy packages with equipment or assistance.
• Must be able to walk and stand for designated hours, and bend or squat as required.
• Able to maneuver packages above shoulder level and in enclosed spaces.
• Ability to communicate timely and effectively in a noisy operations environment.
• Must complete basic and recurring training.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe and efficient operation of equipment used for the movement of packages/documents/heavyweight, dangerous goods and ULDs.
• Assists in the buildup/breakdown of pallets containing heavyweight freight.
• Serves as liaison between company and ULD repair vendor, as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
