Job summary

Front Range Community College (FRCC) is seeking a part-time American Sign Language Instructor to teach ASL across certificate and transfer levels. You will work with colleagues to develop innovative curricula and support student success through effective teaching strategies.

This role requires a strong on-campus presence, flexibility for teaching across campuses in Boulder County, Larimer, and Westminster, and potential travel between sites.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in ASL, Teaching ASL, Deaf Studies, Deaf Education, Sign Language Education, Deaf Interpreting or ASL Linguistics.
• Equivalent Experience: Any Master’s with ASLPI of 4 or above OR ASTLA Certification at the certified level.
• Bachelor’s in ASL/Deaf Studies/Deaf Education/Deaf Interpreting with ASLPI of 4 or above OR 18 grad credits in ASL/ Teaching ASL/Deaf Studies/Deaf Education/ Sign Language Education/Deaf Interpreting/ASL Linguistics.
• Any Bachelor’s with ASTLA Certification at the certified level or higher OR with 18 graduate credits in ASL/ Teaching ASL/Deaf Studies/Deaf Education/ Sign Language Education/ASL Linguistics

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in American Sign Language at all levels and collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative curriculum.
• Adjust course delivery to meet diverse student needs and multiple locations/modality requirements.
• Maintain strong on-campus presence and may travel between FRCC campuses.
