The instructor will teach ASL courses in multiple settings, including evenings, online, and hybrid formats, and will align with course outlines and outcomes. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree or higher with related experience, or an Associate degree with extended experience, plus a valid CCC credential or equivalency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher and two years of directly related experience.
• Associate degree and six years of directly related experience.
• A valid California Community College credential.
• The equivalent education and/or experience (requires an equivalency).
• Evidence of responsiveness to and understanding of diverse student backgrounds and equity-minded practice.

Responsibilities

• Teach a full range of ASL courses in various instructional settings (evening, weekends, online, off-campus).
• Use a variety of pedagogies and instructional technologies for face-to-face, online, and hybrid formats.
• Evaluate student progress through tests, assignments, and oral responses.
• Provide course syllabi and maintain classroom records per District policies.
• Communicate effectively with students and maintain professional conduct.
