Job summary

The Arc Gloucester in New Jersey is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to provide direct care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will help clients reach their fullest potential in a nurturing, compliant environment, supervised by a residential manager.

Flexible hours include evenings, overnights, and weekends. Non-exempt role with emergency coverage requirements, training provided, and competitive benefits including health, dental, vision, 401(k).

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; must be 18 years or older.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with 5 points or less.
• Maintain active CPR/First Aid certification.
• Proficient in basic computer, math, reading comprehension, and verbal/written communication.
• Experience supporting individuals with IDD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to individuals and empower them to reach their fullest potential.
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility support as needed.
• Accompany individuals to activities outside the home and accompany them to appointments and events.
• Transport individuals and drive agency vehicle safely and legally.
• Administer prescribed medications per policy and procedures.
