The Arc Gloucester in West Deptford, NJ is seeking Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in daily living and community activities.

These non-exempt roles offer evening and weekend shifts, training with a competitive hourly wage, and benefits including healthcare. DSPs support independence and safety, maintaining records and following IHPs to empower clients.

Competenze

• High School diploma or GED required; 18+ years old.
• Current, non-probationary driver’s license with 5 points or less.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Basic computer, math, reading and communication skills needed.
• Must know how to cook and prepare meals.
• Experience with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred.
• Must pass state/federal background checks and drug screens.

Mansioni

• Provide direct care to individuals and empower them to reach their fullest potential.
• Assist with daily living activities and safe mobility (bed, wheelchair, stairs, etc.).
• Escort individuals to community activities and appointments.
• Transport individuals and drive agency vehicle as needed.
• Administer prescribed medications per policy.
• Prepare and serve meals per special diets and needs.
• Maintain a clean, safe home environment and supervise at all times.
• Maintain records of services and participate in required trainings.
