Kahak Health is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in New Castle, VA for part-time evenings and weekends. The DSP will provide direct care to individuals with IDD and behavioral health needs, helping with daily living, community activities, and safety in home and community settings.

Responsibilities include personal care, mobility assistance, meals, transportation, and documentation. Must be 18+, have a HS diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and be able to pass background checks.

Formación

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a background check, driving record check, and drug screening.
• Ability to lift, transfer, or assist individuals up to 50 lbs (with or without accommodations).

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with IDD and behavioral health needs.
• Assist with personal care, daily living activities, meals, and transportation.
• Support community outings, skill-building, and safety supervision.
• Document daily progress notes and communicate with families and healthcare providers.
• Follow care plans and agency policies to ensure dignity and rights.
