Job summary

Lehigh Valley Companion Care Homes is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide compassionate, hands-on support to adults with IDD in Whitehall, PA.

This part-time role runs Sundays and Mondays 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, focusing on personal care, medication administration, documentation, and behavior support, while promoting independence and safe community inclusion. You will follow ISP/BSP plans and report changes promptly to the House Manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; health care certifications preferred.
• Experience in direct care or IDD settings is preferred; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing and personal hygiene.
• Administer medications per physician orders and document accurately.
• Document daily notes, progress, and behavioral observations.
• Follow ISP and BSP plans and report changes to supervisors.
• Maintain safety, infection control, and environmental standards.
• Collaborate with the House Manager and care team to support independence and community inclusion.
