Qualifications

  • Associates degree in Drafting is required.
  • Two years of drafting experience is required.
  • Desirable: Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering Technology.
  • Desirable: Two years of AutoCAD and Electrical design experience.

Position Information

Position Title: Part Time Drafting Electrical Design & Drafting CADD Instructor

Position Category: Faculty

Position Status: FLSA Exempt

Department: Computer-Aided Drafting & Design

Working Hours: Monday and Wednesday 2pm - 5:45pm

General Description: SUNY Niagara has a need for a part time Drafting Electrical Design & Drafting CADD Instructor to teach courses in the Drafting department within the Business and STEM division. This position will be responsible for teaching and advising students throughout the academic year who are enrolled in the program. PT instructors will also be responsible for attending meetings as requested.

Classes are held in person on SUNY Niagara’s main campus in Sanborn, NY. Applicants must be able to attend in-person meetings, professional development, and other obligations on the Sanborn campus.

Remuneration: For teaching at least 3 credits in a semester: $1,008 per lecture hour / $903 per lab hour.

Required Qualifications
  • Associates degree in Drafting.
  • Two years of experience in Drafting.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering Technology.
  • 2 years of experience particularly in AutoCAD and Electrical design.
