Job summary

Kids In Crisis is seeking a warm, outgoing Individual Giving Officer to join our Development team on a part-time basis. You will cultivate donors and prospects, focusing on supporters giving $500+, and expand our network of individual and community supporters.

You will work closely with the Managing Director of Development to nurture relationships, identify opportunities, and represent Kids In Crisis in the community across Fairfield County.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
• 2-3 years of experience in fundraising, sales, business development, or nonprofit development.
• Experience with individual donors, community organizations, or volunteer engagement is strongly preferred.
• Strong writing and communication skills for donor correspondence.
• Ability to work independently with strong follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with individual donors and prospects with a focus on $500+ gifts.
• Conduct donor meetings, tours, and personal touchpoints; develop cultivation strategies.
• Identify new donor opportunities through research, events, and community connections.
• Attend community gatherings and engage civic organizations for partnerships.
• Participate in fundraising events and support donor research and portfolio reviews.
• Maintain accurate donor records in the CRM and follow up on next steps.
