Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Livonia, MI is hiring a Donation Attendant for part-time hours (about 25 per week) with evenings, weekends and holidays as scheduled. You’ll greet donors, process donations, keep the area organized, and serve as the first point of contact for supporters.

This role includes power sorting, loading and unloading trucks, and helping with pickup information. Paid training covers donation procedures and store rules, with ongoing coaching from store leadership.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or currently pursuing.
• Strong English communication skills for donor and team interactions.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background check.
• Must be available for a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and evenings.

Responsibilities

About the Role

At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, your work helps turn donations into funding for programs that support people in our community. This role combines customer service, donation processing, and mission-driven work to support The Salvation Army's community programs.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds
